A seductively dark folk waltz in 3/4 time. It warns of the greed that leads men to the "hidden tombs" beneath the Titan's Fingers. The cello creates a wet, mud-slicked atmosphere.

~*~ Song Lyrics ~*~

Look at the horizon, where the earth begins to crack.
Like the fingerbones of Titans, rising from the black.
There’s a staircase in the center, leading down into the dread.
Where the morbid treasures wait among the secrets of the dead.
"Come on, Gerith," he whispered, with a glimmer in his eye,
"It’s the cornerstone of empire! We’ll be kings before we die!"
"Just a little risk to take, for a fortress made of gold.
The foundation of a legacy that never will grow old."

Beneath the mounds where the Titan’s fingers rise,
A hidden tomb beneath the angry, storm-wracked skies.
"Come down," he said, "where the shadows creep,"
To wake the treasure from its dusty sleep.
But a fortress raised on blood and bone
Is just a grave when you die alone.

Misfortune strikes like lightning, setting fire to the dark
I tasted threat upon the wind, I felt the danger mark.
But the silver-tongued devil, he wouldn't let me stay
"The mud will take the treasure if we wait another day!"
Now the fire is extinguished, and the trees begin to creak
I’m paying for the fortune that the foolish come to seek.

"Don't let the empire wash away!"
That’s what he said to me.
But the mud is thick and the tomb is close... And I can barely see.
These creaking trees are snapping now
The shelter’s giving way!
I’ll surely be—

Excuse me... I need your help.
You have the sharpest gaze around, or so the people say
Did you see a scrawny lad come walking down this way?
I haven’t heard a word from him since the storm began to break
He was chasing down a shadow for a devil’s phantom stake.
If you spot him on the horizon, please don't raise your gun
It might be my brother Gerith, trying to outrun...

Beneath the mounds where the Titan’s fingers rise,
A hidden tomb beneath the quiet, empty skies.
"Come down," he said, "where the shadows creep,"
To wake the treasure from its dusty sleep.
But a fortress raised on blood and bone
Is just a grave when you die alone.
